Subfloor for Vibration
This feature accommodates how much the floor will vibrate after movement.
This is a requirement with Canadian residential design and will automatically enable the feature if the job properties are set to Canadian building code.
Ceiling
Allows user to add single or multiple layers of gypsum which appears on the underside of the roof or floor members. Example of this is a basement ceiling
The drop-down menu allows user to pick the thickness of drywall
Double- Layer Drywall aka Double- Layer Gypsum
This feature allows users to use two layers of gypsum ceiling. This allows for more insulation or sound dampening
Blocking
Blocking allows the user to add blocking in-between joists . The user can add blocking to standard predefined locations as listed in the drop-down menu.
Manual Blocking
If the user checks manual blocking and turns on this feature they can use the tool bar on the upper left side of the design screen to add blocking specified by user when needed.
Strapping
Strapping is installed along the length of the interior of a ceiling or wall. It can make placement of drywall easier and is nailed to the bottom of a joist.
Lumber Strapping
2x lumber is installed perpendicular on the bottom edge of joists to increase the member vibration performance
Strapping Rows
This is the number of rows installed along the member
Manual Stiffeners
These are web stiffeners installed at the locations specified by the user to increase the vertical load transfer capacity
